Rooms in Area 51
← Back to Areas
- A road - This is the main road leading in and out of the area. It is made of black asphalt that is radiating an enormous amount of heat. The tar bubbles and pops as it burns in the desert sun and sticks to your boots as you walk. On the horizon to the north you can make out a small shed and to the south is the cottage you came from.
- A small cottage - This cottage is quite roomy and luxurious. It has all of the latest amenities such as a big screen tv, leather sofa and a refrigerator stocked with food and drink. Large windows face the vast desert outside and you can see the large fence pulse with a red aura. Looking around the cottage you see a large bed and a desk with a computer on it. The computer's screen is on and displaying the main menu for a game called AstroMUD.
- A small path - This path leads south to the fortified building. The path is lined with cameras that watch your every move. Pillboxes with turrets are stationed strategically allowing you no chance of escape if they deem you to be a threat.
- Chain link fence - Thinking it was another mirage, you ram your face into the fence. Not only is it solid but also very very hot. A closer inspection reveals this fence is made of nine gauge wire coated with some unknown substance that makes it blend with the surrounding desert. The top of the fence containes razor sharp barbed wire that faces inside rather than outside. Cleary this fence is designed to keep things inside rather than outside. A sign hangs here waiting for you to read it.

Beyond the fence, you can barely see a few small ordinary looking buildings.

- Dilapidated runway - This runaway looks like it has not been used in years. There are pot holes and weeds growing all over the place. You get the feeling that the aircraft that land here don't need a runway. The runway extends further to the east and connects to the hangar to the west.
- Front gate - The wire fence that seemed to go on forever has finally come to and end. In its place for the foreseeable distance is now a a 3-story high reinforced wall of concrete. Above the wall is a line of razor wire to further reinforce its impregnable defenses.
- Inside the Main Gate - You have successfully navigated your way through the desrt and to the main gate. Unusually, buildings that were not visible once in the horizon now make themselves out as you get closer. It must be some sort of advanced cloaking technology used from within. There is a large sign posted in front of the guard station.
- Old Dusty Road - The hot sands swirl and turn beneath your feet and scurry off towards the distant horizon where you see nothing but sand dunes. Up above, the sun beats down on your eyes making you squint and sweat. The sky is not only cloudless, but seems to wait your death as you hear the squawking of vultures flying overhead. To the north is a chain link fence (or is that another mirage???).
- Outside a heavily fortified building - Getting into this building is going to be a difficult task. Fortified steel blast doors and 12 feet of concrete block your access to the inside. You're not sure if this is all designed to keep intruders out or to keep something contained inside. Obscured by shrubbery, there is a grate in the wall to your right.
- Stairwell - A Laboratory You have entered the laboratory of Dr. Frankenfurter. It is here that he reveals his proud creation. The walls are adorned by weird looking gadgets. Might be best not to touch them.
- Sub Level 2 - "Private Room" - No wonder this room is marked as private, there are comic books everywhere except these aren't the sort that you would get at your local Piggly Wiggly. You're more likely to find these comics at Porky's Nightclub. The book next to your foot catches your eye due to the rather well-endowed green skinned woman on the front cover with three breasts. The pages are stuck together so you may want to find a bathroom to wash your hands.
- Sub Level 2 - Colonel's Office - You'd have expected the Colonel's office to be more organized. His desk is covered in unkempt paperwork and leftover Chinese food and his trash bin is over- flowing. On the floor is a portable putting green, for which it's balls are scattered across the rug.
- Sub Level 2 - Computer Storage - This is the storage room for computer hardware and peripherals here at the facility. There are steel shelves that are organized and stocked by type. There are shelves for motherboards, RAM, CPU's, monitors, keyboards and the like. There is no advanced tech- nology stored here; only low-tech Earth gadgets.
- Sub Level 2 - Loading Dock - Instead of typical loading equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks it seems Area 51 has perfected an advanced method of shipping and receiving using anti-gravity technology. It seems special electronic belts are attached to cargo and when activated cause the item to hover above the ground as if it were a balloon filled with helium. Large doors lead to the warehouse east.
- Sub Level 2 - Misc - Items and cargo that cannot fit elsewhere are stored in this room. These items are mostly of the administrative kind: desks, chairs and lamps so they are all quite worthless to you unless you're looking to furnish your office.
- Sub Level 2 - Warehouse - Instead of typical loading equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks it seems Area 51 has perfected an advanced method of shipping and receiving using anti-gravity technology. It seems special electronic belts are attached to cargo and when activated cause the item to hover above the ground as if it were a balloon filled with helium. Large doors lead to the warehouse east.
- Sub Level 2 - Warehouse - This is the eastern end of the underground warehouse. More boxes are stacked here going as high as the ceiling. The warehouse continues back to the west. There are doors to your north and south.
- Sub Level 2 - Weapons Storage - Your jaw drops as you behold the sites in this room. Advanced weaponized technology is stored in this room stacked neatly to the ceiling. All sorts of amazing weapons are here, plamsa grenades, laser rifles, hydrogen bombs and other WMDs are at your disposal but you should probably just get a move on.
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Although plain looking on the outside you quickly become terrified as you notice the horrors around you. The room is decorated with human entrails and organs. Blood that once splattered the walls has run down and coagulated on the floor. You try to keep your footing but fail as your feet slip out from beneath you and you fall to the floor. You help yourself up by grabbing the lamp in the corner and realize it is made of human skin. There is a man here hidden behind a mask or other people's faces. He starts up his chainsaw and begins his attack!
- The Hangar - This is a fairly large hangar. By the looks of things, it has about eighteen bays to store airplanes. You double take as you suddenly notice that there is a strange aircraft hovering midair in one of the bays without the sound of any means of propulsion known to this world.
- The main road - You are surrounded by buildings on this road. To the north lies the mess hall, the east is a hanger and to the south is a path leading to a small concrete building. It's steel blast doors look like they can withstand a bomb. A watchtower looms overhead its cameras fixated on you.
- Ventilation Shaft - This small ventilation shaft must have been overlooked by the security as a possible means of entrance. While rather claustrophobic, this is enough room inside to maneuver your body. As you inch your way through the shaft you notice some rat droppings.
- Ventilation System - The ventilation system finally opens up. Although much roomier in here, it is much more dangerous. Large fans spin at high velocity just inches away from your head. The shaft branches off to your east but it is too tight of a fit. There is a hatch below that you can enter, just be sure not to stand up unless you would like an impromptu haircut!
