Rooms in Dusk Clan Hall
← Back to Areas
- Altered State Bank - You step into the room, and are instantly awestruck by the amazing sculpture work done to the walls of this bank lobby. Every wall boasts full length, floor to ceiling, psychedelic patterns that seem to be made from living stone. You slowly turn a full circle drinking in the amazing work, but when you return to face back the way you started, you don't recognize the wall... In fact, they all look different somehow. Man, this place makes an acid trip look boring!
- Atop the Roof - You are nearly swept off the roof as the first gust of wind strikes you. As you shift your weight to compensate for the force, you nearly tumble again as the wind suddenly strikes from the other direction. Despite the relentless buffeting, you make your way further onto the roof toward several shimmering portals. As you reach them you glance back, and notice a large inscription set in silver over the archway to the belfry: "As the winds scatter seeds of grain, so shall we spread the seeds of Chaos." These portals were devised so that DusK might easily travel all over the world, battling Order and basking in the glory of the ensuing Chaos. Utilize these portals, if you wish, or return indoors to the north.
- Clan Donation Room (courtesy of Allure, Rhino you need to make a desc) - You are in an unfinished room. blah blah stuff here doesn't save type clan donate (item) will be cool for like potions and scrolls and wands or stuff that isn't hard to get that way we can save space inthe save room for important stuff
- Hall of Chaos - As you enter this vast hall, you realize this is certainly not an ordinary church. The floor within the hall stands empty, and the darkness and fear press thickly around you and your light, until it seems only to give off a faint glow to prevent the darkness from engulfing you. As you walk around, examining the room with this faint light, you see vast tapestries decorating the walls. However, unlike most tapestries, these display the carnage of wars rather than celebrate the victories, and glorify assassins embraced by shadows around women weeping over dead kings, and one even shows the chaotic and stomach-churning feeding of a group of vampires. As you glance away from these grizzly images your eyes pass over a small shelf, decorated with small, intricately detailed dolls. As you examine further, you shudder to realize they are VooDoo dolls, with one for each of the members within Clan DusK. As you continue to explore the hall, avoiding the dolls, you find exits only on the north wall, one leading back to the entryway, and the other leading to a stairway going down.
- Inside the Church - Just within the doors, you feel the static energy intensify, as if the source were just beyond the reach of your light. You are in a short hallway with doors leading off in each direction, as well as a spiral stairway leading up to the belfry. Through the double doors to the south, you see a great hall, while to the east is a small room with what seems to be lights of shifting color passing through the doorway. Through the small room to the west appears to be what was once a nursery, and back to the north is the way out, and a feeling of safety.
- The Belfry - Small bats roosting in the rafters are startled by your light as you take the last few steps into the belfry. A large blackened bell dominates your view, although to the north you can see the town over the trees of the church garden, standing proud in the noon light, despite the darkness on the church grounds. To the south, a short arch leads out to the roof where you here the winds whipping briskly. The only other exit is the staircase leading back down to the main floor of the church.
- The Dusk general store - As you walk into the store, you see a stout grey bearded man standing behind the counter. As you approach he greets you and asks how he can be of service. As you look around you find many fine Dusk articles that you know you can't live without.
- The Library - As you leave the stairs and enter the library, you are stunned by the deafening silence. Sure, libraries are supposed to be quiet, but it seems that absolutely no sound at all echoes off these walls. However, despite this mind-numbing quiet, you are comforted at least to see several chandeliers give a warm glow of light to the vast library, instead of the foreboding darkness that seems to fill the rest of the church. A huge table lies near the door, where the VooDoo Council can hold meetings in peace, or where you might choose to sit and enjoy one of the books that crowd the shelves which cover the walls and fill the vast underground chamber. If reading doesn't suit you, you can return up the stairs to the hall.
- The Nursery - You are comforted by the signs that this may indeed be a church. After all, what church would be complete without a nursery. However, instead of a normal nursery, this one appears to be altered, much like everything else here. Soft music inviting you to sleep plays quietly, but the baby beds have been removed. The darkness within the building still presses in on your light, trying to smother it out, but instead of the fear you feel with the darkness through the rest of the church, this time you feel more as if the light is just interfering with those trying to sleep. Sit and rest a while, or take your light with you back through the only exit to the east.
- The Vault - What better place to keep all the treasures collected by DusK than in the vault of the bank. Only the chosen are allowed to enter the Vault, so theft is not a problem. However, unlike most vaults, cold steel does not decorate the room. This is one of the few rooms where light glitters freely about the room. Gold and silver are used in delicate tracings all along the walls, making pictures of great dragons and other mystical beasts battling knights in armor. Jewels set into the wall glitter and reflect new colors of light all about the room. And piled all around the floor and on sturdy shelves lie the pillages of war, claimed by the clan. The only exit from this eye-pleasing wonder is to the north.
