Rooms in Through the Looking Glass
← Back to Areas
- A Dark Passageway - You have entered a long dark hallway. All the doors are closed except the one at the end. There is a strange light flickering from within.
- A Small Passageway - You squeeze yourself into a small passageway. The earth presses in on you from all sides as you crawl along on your stomach. Other passages lead in different directions and you find it hard to tell if what direction you are crawling.
- A Small Passageway - You continue crawling through the passageways, wondering if you will ever find your way out. You think you caught a fleeting glimpse of something white scurrying through the darkness ahead of you, of course you could have been mistaken.
- A Small Passageway - You seem to be lost. Will this passage never end... and there goes that white thing again.
- A Small Passageway - You continue crawling through the passageways, wondering if you will ever find your way out. You think you caught a fleeting glimpse of something white scurrying through the darkness ahead of you, of course you could have been mistaken.
- A Sunny Spot - You've come upon a Gryphon, lying fast a sleep in the bright sun. (If you don't know what a Gryphon is look it up!).
- Before The Castle - Before you stands a massive white castle. Many people (both human and erm well nonhuman) are scurrying frantically towards the open gates. Though the gates are heavily guarded MOST people get by without losing their heads.
- Below The Bough - The tree bough hangs just above your head. You could touch it if you stand on your toes. To the east you see the strangest little house.
- By the Sea - You have finally reached the sea and off in the distance you see the sad and lonely Mock Turtle sitting on a little ledge of rock.
- Down the Rabbit Hole - \ \ \ \ \ \ EEP \ \ \ \ / / / / / / / / OOF / / \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ ARGH You have just tumbled down an incredibly deep rabbit hole and you can see no way to go back the way you came in.
- Looking Glass House - The room is strangely bare of furnishings except for the clock that sets on the mantel and the large mirror that is leaning against the wall.
- Of The Beach - Odd creatures are assembled along the beach doing a strange little jig. Seals, Turtles, Salmon why even a Jellyfish. Maybe you shouldn join in, you really haven't much time as the trials begin very soon.
- On the Bank - What a nice spot for a lazy summer picnic. The grass here on the bank is an incredible shade of green. The birds are singing and the sweet smell of wild flowers wafts through the air. There is a large sign hanging from a nearby tree.
- On the Road - It's a very very long way to the sea you know. Especially if you have to walk all that way.
- On the Road - You can smell the sea in front of you and you hear the distant crash of waves upon rocks.
- On the Summit - Far below you you can see the ocean hungerly lapping at the shore and towards the east sits a magnificent Castle. Many people are scurring towards it's gates. Maybe you are late?
- The Chess Room - This room isn't nearly as tidy as it's duplicate on the other side. The Chessboard has been dumped and the little Chess pieces are scattered all over.
- The Court - The King and Queen of Hearts were seated on their throne and a great crowd assembled about them-all sorts of little birds and beasts, as well as a whole deck of cards: the Knave was standing before them, in chains, with a soldier on each side to guard him; and near the King was the White Rabbit, with a trumpet in one hand and a parchment in the other. (It's a good thing you know the judge wears a white wig or you'd have missed the fact that the King was also the Judge)
- The Courtyard - You are almost knocked over by a creature hurrying past you. He is mumbling something about the trial starting. Maybe you should go inside?
- The Croquet Garden - You are looking for an escape when you come upon the Queen and King and a large crowd of guest arguing over how to behead a head if it has no body.... Erm
- The Croquet-Garden - There are ridges and furrows everywhere; The croquet balls are live hedgehogs, and the mallets live flamingos, and the silly soldiers are doubling over to make arches... what an odd place!
- The First Square - Ah the first square...so the world is just a giant game after all... and maybe if you reach the 8th square you to can be Queen. (that's if you want to be Queen maybe the 8th square isn't for everybody)
- The Front Yard - There is a table set out under a tree in front of the house, and the March Hare and The Hatter are having tea with the Dormouse. Maybe they have room for you?
- The Garden - You find yourself in a beautiful garden, among bright flower beds and cool fountains.
- The Garden - You finally came upon a flower bed, with a border of daises, and a willow tree growing the middle. To your north is what appears to be a lifesize chessboard.
- The Giant Mushroom - If you stand on your toes and peep over the top of the mushroom you may see an incredible sight, for upon this mushroom sits a large Blue Caterpillar smoking a hookah (I don't know.. Look it up). He's totally ignoring you too, guess he's more concerned about the Puppy.
- The Giant Thistle - Thistles pull and tug at your clothes. Intent upon doing you harm. Everything is oversized. Blades of grass as big as a tree loom threatening over your head. A huge spotted mushroom almost seems like a haven from chaos behind you.
- The Hilltop - Finally you've reached the Hilltop. Now where did That Flower Garden go?
- The Huge Tree - You are in front of a huge Tree. There is a small door leading right into it. That's very curious!
- The Large Kitchen - The room is full of smoke from one end to the other; you can vaguely make out the shape of a large woman nursing a baby and at the other end of the room another woman is stirring a caldron.
- The Library - Maybe you should go back to school. All these books are written in an odd language or are they? Wait they are looking glass books.
- The Little House - You've come upon a neat little house, on the door of which is a bright brass plate with the name "W. RABBIT," engraved upon it.
- The Long Hallway - Before you stretches an endless hallway with many closed doors. Each door has an engraved image upon it's face. Curious indeed!
- The March Hare's House - You are sure this must be the house of the March Hare because the chimneys are shaped like ears and the roof is thatched with fur. It's a very large house. Maybe you should nibble that mushroom a little more.
- The Other Side - How strange oh my...you stepped right through the mirror. Something is wrong here. Very wrong.
- The Path to the Garden - You could see the garden far better if you could just find your way to the top of the hill.
- The Path to the Garden - It's really more like a corkscrew than a path isn't it? Well maybe you should try the other way?
- The Pool - \ \ \ \ \ EEP \ \ \ \ / / / / / / / / OOF / / \ \ \ \ \ You fell through a trap door in the floor far above you. You are up to your chin in salt water. Your first idea is maybe you've fallen into the sea. Have you ever noticed how sea water taste strangely like tears?
- The Rocks by the Sea - The waves are washing furiously over the rocks. How strange that the Mock Turtle seems unaffected by them.
- The Rose Garden - How odd, the Gardeners seem to be painting the Rose Trees. Even more curious is the fact the gardeners are CARDS.
- The Second Square - Now you understand each square is a country with rivers and stream running between them. It may take a very long time to get to be Queen.
- The Shore - You have finally reached the shore. High time to go for the pool had gotten quite crowded with all the birds and animals that had fallen into it.
- The Small Passage Way - They said this hallway continues forever....Guess they were right.
- The Small Passageway - You find yourself in a long hall and close by is a little glass table. Maybe you'll do better this time?
- The Tidy Room - You have found your way into a tidy little room. In front of the window is a tiny window. You notice that a fan and two or three pairs of tiny white kid gloves are laying upon it.
- The Wood - Why is it that dark woods seem to surround all the dwellings in this land? Loud sounds are coming from inside the house and a few yards away there is a Huge Cat sitting in a tree.
- The Woods - The dark woods seem to close around you. Whispering strange things... Brushing softly against you. Behind you the door to the house has been closed.
- Up the Hill - The hill is very steep and you have a long way to climb before you reach The huge Castle that is perched on it's summit.
